The owners’ art collection inspired the color palettes in this home, with the exception of a daughter’s room which began with her understandable love of the robin’s egg gingham. Jewel-toned fabrics strike a beautiful contrast against the light-filled rooms. Woods and reflective golds run throughout, providing dimension and interest. The problem of a laundry room adjacent to a dining room was solved with a portiere: a sapphire linen fronts the dining room while a lovely, humble ticking faces the laundry.
